Ronald Sanders
Ronald Sanders, picture editor (born at Winnipeg). Ronald Sanders was exposed to film at an early age since his father worked as a projectionist. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from St. John's College, University of Manitoba, he moved to Toronto. There he edited documentaries and began working on features as a sound editor. His first movie as a picture editor came in 1976 with the low-budget horror film The Clown Murders.
In 1978, Sanders edited David CRONENBERG's Fast Company. He became the celebrated director's regular editor, winning GENIE AWARDS for Dead Ringers, Crash, eXistenZ and Eastern Promises. He received 2 DGC Craft Awards for outstanding editing on A History of Violence and Eastern Promises.
His impressive filmography includes Videodrome, The Dead Zone, The Fly, Perfectly Normal, Naked Lunch, M. Butterfly, Johnny Mnemonic, Norman JEWISON's Dinner with Friends (TV), Spider, The Bang Bang Club, the animated Coraline (an Oscar nominee for best animated feature), A Dangerous Method and Cosmopolis.
