Robinson, Clifford William
Clifford William Robinson, lawyer, businessman, premier of NB 1907-08 (b at Moncton, NB 1 Sept 1866; d at Montréal 27 July 1944). In 1897 Robinson was elected mayor of Moncton and a member of the provincial Assembly. After serving as Speaker of the House and provincial secretary he became premier in 1907. A year later his government was defeated. He served as minister without portfolio and minister of lands and mines in the provincial Liberal government from 1917 until 1924, when he was appointed to the Senate.
