I’ve always liked flying, that intrigued me all the time. I spent my whole life doing it. I still fly. Well, not now, because of my leg, but up until a couple of years ago. Well they kept you training up all the time, you may go on operations...hard to say, you may go every night for a week, then not for another couple of week, but after about 30 or 40 flights, they give you a rest period and you’re on your break. Otherwise you’re of no value. We didn’t lose too many on our coastal reconnaissance. See it’s a little different, when you get to flying over the ground, it’s easy to put guns in different places to shoot at the airplane. Whereas over the water, it’s not the same. You have to fly over a ship to get shot down, and a guy wouldn’t do that unless he had to. So they didn’t lose as many ships, um airplanes over water, as you would over the land.
