Carmen Robertson

Carmen Robertson is a Scottish-Lakota scholar from Treaty Four Territory. As the Canada Research Chair in North American Indigenous Visual and Material Culture at Carleton University in Ottawa, ON. Professor Robertson leads the Morrisseau Project: 1955-1985, comprised of a team of scholars exhaustively studying the life and art of Anishinaabe artist Norval Morrisseau. She also works closely with a group of artists and scholars who are expanding the critical discourse around Indigenous beading from the Prairies.
