Shawn McCarthy

Shawn McCarthy is the global energy reporter for The Globe and Mail, working in the paper’s Ottawa bureau for the Report on Business. In that role, he covers a broad variety of energy issues, including the economics and politics of climate change; the oil and gas sector; nuclear and renewable energy, and OPEC. McCarthy has served as Globe’s correspondent in New York City; as parliamentary bureau chief in Ottawa, and as correspondent covering government economic policy.
