Charles William Conacher, hockey player (b at Toronto 10 Dec 1909; d there 30 Dec 1967). Playing right wing on Toronto's potent "Kid Line," with Joe Primeau and Henry "Busher" Jackson, he was known for his rambunctious play and booming shot. He played 12 seasons in the NHL, mostly with the TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS, winning the scoring title 1933-34 and 1934-35 and sharing it twice more. He was traded to Detroit 1938 and finished his career with New York Americans. He scored 225 goals, 173 assists in regular season play, adding 17 goals and 18 assists in playoffs.
