This provincial farm is a HISTORIC SITE located in the MIRAMICHI region of New Brunswick near Bartibog. The farm was founded by Alexander MacDonald, a Scot who had come to North America as a soldier during the AMERICAN REVOLUTION. After his military service MacDonald moved to New Brunswick and established his farm. The restored stone farmhouse dates to 1820.

Designated as a historic site in 1977, it is run as a living history farm, and visitors can get a sense of pioneer farm life in New Brunswick in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The farm is open to the public from the end of June to early September.
