Michel Arcand, picture editor, sound design (born at Val d'Or, Que 1949). Michel Arcand is one of Canada's most accomplished picture editors. He entered the business as an assistant editor in the mid 1970s.

He has worked with some of the top Quebec directors, including Gilles CARLE and Pierre FALARDEAU, and he has edited 7 films by Léa POOL - La Femme de l'hôtel, À corps perdu, Anne Trister, Mouvements du désir (also sound design), Emporte-moi, The Blue Butterfly and Le Dernière fugue.

He is the winner of 3 GENIE AWARDS, for Un Zoo la nuit, Léolo and Maurice Richard (The Rocket). He has 5 nominations and was asked by Canadian-born director Roger Spottiswoode to edit the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies and The 6th Day starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Michel Arcand's other Canadian films include Maria Chapdelaine, Night Magic, Cruising Bar, Le Party, Amoureux fou, Octobre (also sound design and edit), L'Enfant d'eau (also sound design and edit), Sunshine, The Art of War, Séraphin: Un homme et son péché (Séraphin: Heart of Stone), J'ai serré la main du diable (Shake Hands with the Devil), Love & Savagery and Le Vendeur.

Michel Arcand has also contributed to the very successful television series Lance et compte II, Urgences and Marguerite Volant.
