Burkhard Mausberg

Burkhard Mausberg is the President of Small Change Fund, Canada’s only charitable crowd-funder. He was previously the founding CEO of the Greenbelt Foundation and the Greenbelt Fund. A leader in Ontario’s environmental sector, Burkhard has worked for charities for 35 years. Before leading the Greenbelt Foundation, he directed the programs of the Ivey Foundation. Burkhard also founded and led Environmental Defence Canada and was Executive Director of Great Lakes United. Burkhard has served on many NGO boards and writes widely on vital issues in diverse settings. He studied environmental science at the University of Waterloo and the University of Toronto, where he also taught for eight years. Burkhard lives in Toronto and spends as much time as possible at his cabin in the woods.
