Paul-François Sylvestre

Writer, literary critic and history columnist for various French-language weeklies in southern Ontario, Paul-François Sylvestre has published some twenty essays on French Ontario, eight novels, three collections of short stories, two volumes of poetry and two children’s books. He has taught a course on Franco-Ontarian literature at York University’s Glendon College and a course on the history of French Ontario at Collège Boréal in Toronto. He was made a member of the Order of Ontario in 2008 and a member of the Ordre de la Pléiade in 2014. His most recent works are Lectures franco-ontariennes 4 (Gref, 2014), L’Ontario français, quatre siècles d’histoire (David, 2013), Cent ans de leadership franco-ontarien (David, 2010) and Toronto s’écrit: la Ville Reine dans notre literature (Gref, 2007).
