Yves Piché-Simard is an author and multimedia journalist and has also been a playwright since 2001. He is the co-founder of the theatrical collective Les ZUtopistes and of the former cultural website Code Culture. He wrote several plays as well as monthly thematic evenings entitled Les soirées Z’ Cabaret, a form of creative writing laboratory held from 2000 to 2010 in his hometown of Quebec City. His artistic residency took place during the first six months of 2004 on a stage in his favorite neighborhood, Limoilou. The shows were presented at the Boîte à chanson Les oiseaux de passage, owned by Pierre Jobin, the agent of Félix Leclerc, who sponsored the troupe for this project.
