Corey Mitchell Hart, singer, songwriter (b at Montréal 31 May 1962). Hart rocketed onto the music scene with the release of the international hit "Sunglasses at Night" in 1983. His song "Never Surrender" won the 1985 Juno Award for single of the year. In 1985 Hart released Boy in the Box on Aquarius Records. The album became the quickest Canadian million-seller in history 7 months after its release, and by age 24 he had already sold more than 10 million records worldwide. In 1986 he released his third album, Fields of Fire, which included songs such as "Can't Help Falling in Love,""Angry Young Man" and "I Am by Your Side.""In My Soul" was a hit in 1988 from his fourth album, Young Man Running. Hart recorded 2 more albums that met with little success, but in 1996, inspired by a new relationship and a baby with Québec singer Julie Masse, he came back with a self-titled album that sold more than 50 000 copies and earned Hart 2 Juno Award nominations. Hart's successful comeback continued with the 1998 release of Jade.

Hart remained in the background in the new millennium to spend more time with his growing family. He wrote and produced songs for Céline Dion, Québec star Garou and new artist Cherie. He re-recorded "Sunglasses At Night" with the group Original 3 in 2002, and the song became a club favourite and was nominated for a best dance recording Juno. Hart launched the Warner-affiliated Siena Records label in 2003 and American female artist Paisley was the first signing. Hart has been nominated for 20 Junos and won 2.
