Dorothy Sandler (m Glick). Pianist, b Toronto 4 Jun 1937. She was a pupil of Boris Berlin, Albert Jaffy, and Alberto Guerrero in Toronto and of Giselle Couteau in Paris. She was a recitalist and concerto soloist in the Toronto area, performed on the CBC, and recorded two Mozart Sonatas, K330 and K333, for the CBC (1971; CBC SM-221). Dorothy Sandler- Glick has taught at the Brodie School of Music and Modern Dance, the Royal Conservatory of Music and privately. In 2005 she became artistic director of the Syrinx Sunday Salons, a concert series that promotes Canadian composers. A published poet, some of Sandler-Glick's poems were set to music by composer Walter Buczynski in 4 Songs for Soprano and Piano (2007). She was the wife of composer Srul Irving Glick.
