Édouard Chatillon. Organist, teacher, composer, b Nicolet 1866, d there 1947. A pupil of his father, Octave Chatillon, he succeeded him as organist at the Nicolet Cathedral in 1896 and remained in the position until his death.

Édouard Chatillon. Organist, teacher, composer, b Nicolet 1866, d there 1947. A pupil of his father, Octave Chatillon, he succeeded him as organist at the Nicolet Cathedral in 1896 and remained in the position until his death. At the Séminaire de Nicolet for 35 years he taught voice, piano, and organ and directed the bands and produced several stage shows with music. He also directed the Nicolet Band. He composed two patriotic songs, 'Le Baiser de la langue francaise' (Boucher no date) and 'Reviens Dollard.' His brother Edmond (Joseph-Edmond-Hardy) (b Nicolet 1865, d there 1941), doubtless also a pupil of his father, was ordained a priest in 1893. He served 1896-1918 as choirmaster at the Nicolet Cathedral.
