The National Post is an English-language national newspaper owned by Postmedia Network Inc. Founded in 1998 by Conrad Black, the paper was built around the Financial Post, which Black purchased from Sun Media in 1997. Black later sold the paper to CanWest Global in 2000. In 2010, after the collapse of CanWest Global, the paper was taken over by Postmedia Network, Inc.

The National Post competes directly with the Globe and Mail and is considered to have a more conservative stance. Several prominent columnists have appeared in the paper, including Conrad Black, Ezra Levant, Lawrence Solomon and Robert Fulford. The paper is published daily from Monday to Saturday, and publishes a separate edition in Toronto.
