Yolande Deslauriers-Husaruk, soprano (born 14 June 1938 in Montréal, QC). Yolande Deslauriers-Husaruk won the Prix Archambault in 1962. With scholarships from the Quebec Government (1965, 1966), she studied Lied interpretation (German art song for solo voice and piano, eg, by Schubert) with Erik Werba in Salzburg and Vienna, then continued her training 1966-73 with Lina Narducci at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec. She sang in the Opéra du Quebec productions of Il Trittico (1971) and Rigoletto (1972) and gave recitals with such ensembles as the Orford String Quartet, the McGill Chamber Orchestra, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, while participating in many CBC broadcasts. She also performed with the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec, and in 2008 served on the honorary committee of the Bach-Académie de Montréal. She is the daughter of Jean Deslauriers and married the violinist Eugène Husaruk.
