2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (2 CMBG)

2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (2 CMBG) is a formation of the Canadian Army. There are eight units in the brigade group: an armoured regiment, artillery regiment, combat engineer regiment, headquarters and signals squadron, one mechanized and two light infantry battalions and a service battalion. Brigade Group headquarters is located at Petawawa, Ontario.

  • 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group Headquarters and Signal Squadron
  • 1st Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment
  • 2nd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment
  • 3rd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment
  • 2 Service Battalion

Three other regular force units work closely with 2 CMBG, although they are not officially part of it: 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron, 2 Field Ambulance and 2 Military Police Platoon.
