Cecil Henry Dye, "Babe," hockey player (b at Hamilton, Ont 13 May 1898; d 2 Jan 1962). His learning the skills of hockey from his mother on a backyard rink in Toronto became part of hockey lore. He joined Toronto St Pats in 1919, and in a brief, meteoric career led the NHL in scoring 4 times (1920-21, 1921-22, 1922-23 and 1924-25), scoring 5 goals in a game twice, 38 goals in 29 games 1924-25 and a total of 200 goals in 271 games. He played for Chicago 1926-28, for the New York Americans 1928-29 and 6 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs 1930-31.
