Canadian Tax Foundation

Canadian Tax Foundation, a nonprofit research and publishing organization that sponsors studies and conferences on taxation and public-finance issues. Founded in 1945 and headquartered in Toronto, it was instituted (but not supported) by the Canadian Bar Association and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Many members of these 2 organizations are also members of the foundation. Corporations and other individuals may also become members. In addition to a wide range of special studies, the foundation publishes annually The National Finances, a review of federal spending and revenues, and The Conference Report, a collection of the papers delivered at its annual national conference. It also publishes the Canadian Tax Journal and Provincial and Municipal Finances.
