Georges Vézina, hockey player (born 21 January 1887 in Chicoutimi, QC; died there 26 March 1926).

Georges Vézina, hockey player (born 21 January 1887 in Chicoutimi, QC; died there 26 March 1926). He tended goal for Montreal Canadiens from 1910 to 1925 without missing a game. He was noted for his composure under fire, once stopping 78 of 79 shots in a game. He collapsed during a game on 28 November 1925 and died four months later of tuberculosis. The Canadiens donated the Vézina Trophy to the NHL in his honour.
