Leif Newry Fitzroy Crozier, soldier, policeman (b at Newry, Ire 11 June 1846; d in Oklahoma, US 25 Feb 1901). He was appointed an inspector in the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP) in 1873.

Prominent in earlier Indigenous-police relations, Crozier's career was blighted in March 1885 when, ignoring approaching reinforcements, he led a party of NWMP and volunteers against a superior force of Métisat Duck Lake. The retreat of the government troops under heavy fire in the opening engagement of the North-West Resistance gave encouragement to the Métis, but tarnished the reputation of the NWMP. Crozier resigned in 1886 after John A. Macdonald passed him over to appoint a civilian NWMP commissioner.
