Malcolm Wallace McCutcheon, lawyer, businessman, politician (b at London, Ont 18 May 1906; d there 23 Jan 1969). Director of over 20 companies and financial institutions, McCutcheon resigned them in 1962 when he became minister without portfolio in the DIEFENBAKER government.

Malcolm Wallace McCutcheon, lawyer, businessman, politician (b at London, Ont 18 May 1906; d there 23 Jan 1969). Director of over 20 companies and financial institutions, McCutcheon resigned them in 1962 when he became minister without portfolio in the Diefenbaker government. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1930, he soon found his talents lay in the executive suite and the boardroom. A member of the Wartime Prices and Trade Board, he went to Argus Corp where he was vice-president and managing director when called to the Senate in 1962. A lifelong Tory, he was an important fund raiser and Bay Street (Toronto) contact for the Diefenbaker government. He ran unsuccessfully for the Tory leadership in 1967.
