Most of my thing was convoy duty and the convoy connections were from Boston to Newfoundland, from Newfoundland to Iceland and Iceland to Ireland.
Charles Scott. I was official signalman. You’re on the bridge and you’re looking out for mines. You sleep down below in the mess deck. It was more comfortable than the beds you sleep on here. You slung a hammock, you slept from a hammock. I was on, like you’d be out in the ocean on a watch, like you spend most of your time on the bridge. I spent eight hours on the bridge. You spend most of your watch like four on and eight off. Most of my thing was convoy duty and the convoy connections were like I told you, from Boston to Newfoundland, from Newfoundland to Iceland and Iceland to Ireland.
