I'm going to talk to you now about Frank Abdey, who was an uncle. He was born March 19th 1889, in Richmond, Surrey, England. He came to Canada sometime before 1911, when he married Alice Maude Bundy. He enlisted in St. Thomas, Ontario, on September 10th 1915. He left for Halifax on June 29th 1916. Also sailed on the Olympic, and arrived in Liverpool, England. Frank was transferred from the 91st to the 12th Battalion, and then to the 75th Battalion of the 4th Division. Frank died of head wounds October 1st 1917, and is buried at Dunkirk town cemetery.
