Ophélie Dénommée-Marchand

Ophélie Dénommée-Marchand is a Quebec-based independent journalist. From 2021 to 2025, she worked as a fact-checker and researcher with Lead Stories in the United States, contributing to the development of North America’s most prolific fact-checking organization. She researched viral claims about international conflicts, including in Ukraine and Gaza, the Canadian and US elections, and more. Dénommée-Marchand holds a bachelor’s degree in French literature from the Université de Montréal.
