John Bergeron

John Bergeron is Emeritus Robert Reford Professor and Professor of Medicine at McGill University. His research accomplishments were recognized through the Royal Society of Canada McLaughlin medal, the Human Proteome Organization Discovery award, the QEII Diamond Jubilee Medal, chevalier de L’Ordre national du Québec and the Order of Canada. John Bergeron’s research focuses on how the organelles of the cell interact to regulate how proteins exit and enter cells, how they maintain cell homeostasis and how they cause disease when dysregulated. John Bergeron has co-authored several articles in The Conversation with over 235,000 readers to date and other media. He received the Research Canada Award for science advocacy.
