Kate Jaimet

Kate Jaimet is an Ottawa-based freelance writer. She began her career as a daily news reporter in 1997 at the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal, after studying journalism at Ryerson Polytechnic University. From 1998 to 2010, she worked as a daily news reporter at the Ottawa Citizen newspaper, including a four-year stint in the newspaper's Parliament Hill bureau from 2000 to 2004. She continues to write for a variety of magazines including Canada’s History, Ottawa Magazine and National Geographic Kids
