Nick Cairns

Dr. Nick Cairns is an ecologist and conservation biologist based in southwestern Saskatchewan. He has worked on a variety of species and projects across Canada and the US, including mitigation strategies for turtle bycatch in inland fisheries and the phylogenomics of the spring peeper. Cairns has been watching and researching greater short-horned lizards in Grasslands National Park since 2004 and is particularly interested in horned lizard overwintering.
