Peter Kikkert

Peter Kikkert completed his PhD in history at Western University and is currently a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the Frost Centre for Canadian and Indigenous Studies at Trent University. He has written extensively on polar topics, particularly on sovereignty, security and stewardship issues, the international legal history of the polar regions, the historic role of the Canadian Armed Forces in the North, and the relationship between the military and northern communities.
