Season is a writer with an interest in Inuit Nunangat: its people, places, and history. Her nonfiction, In the Shadow of the Pole: An Early History of Arctic Expeditions, 1871-1912,  examines how the Arctic became part of the map of Canada. She lives and writes in Ottawa, Ontario.
