Sylvia Moore

Sylvia Moore is an associate professor at the School of Arctic and Subarctic Studies, Labrador Campus of Memorial University. Her Mi’kmaw family’s roots are in southwestern Nova Scotia, but she lives and works on the traditional lands of the Innu and Inuit of Labrador. Sylvia’s community-based research is in the areas of Indigenous-led education and decolonizing/ Indigenizing education at all levels. Sylvia is the vice-lead of the Verdde Thematic Network, University of the Arctic, and author of Trickster Chases the Tale of Education.
