Viktor Kaczkowski

Marine historian Viktor Kaczkowski has had a lifelong interest in ships and shipping since arriving in Canada on the liner Empress of England in 1967. He grew up in Midland, Ontario and studied geography at both the University of Guelph and York University where he completed his MA thesis on Great Lakes shipping under the direction of Dr. Gordon C. Shaw. Currently at the Brockville Museum, he has been involved with the Toronto Marine Historical Society and Lost Villages Historical Society for many years.

He can usually be found along the banks of the St. Lawrence River or on a cruise ship somewhere.
