She has become known through her participation as teacher, lecturer and animator, in all education levels, from the primary to the university level, in addition to her activities in the literary and audiovisual fields. She was in charge of music programs as academic advisor to the Montreal Catholic School Commission 1981-7 and as animator, author and consultant to the Commission scolaire des Mille-Îles 1984-, as well as for other public and private institutions. In 1982 she began to create and plan activities and programs as pedagogical development agent for the Quebec Ministry of Education. For CBC radio she conceived the program series 'Musique de Canadiens' 1978-82 for which she wrote the scripts, chose the music and was host; a great variety of subjects were featured, including : 'Alexis Contant et son temps,' Les Ondes Martenot au Canada,' 'Jean Papineau-Couture,' 'Une analyse : Kékoba,' 'Les Éditions Québec-Musique,' 'Paraphrase sur l'oeuvre d'André Prévost, 'La Faculté de musique de l'Un. de Montréal,' trente ans d'histoire'. Louise Bail Milot has also given lectures devoted mainly to Canadian music, especially on the works of Claude Champagne and of Jean Papineau-Couture, on which she is an acknowledged authority. In 1986, in Montreal, she published Jean Papineau-Couture : la vie, la carrière et l'oeuvre. She collaborated, with Hélène Paul and Louise Hirbour, on the writing of Initiation à la littérature musicale published by Le Griffon d'argile in Quebec city in 1987, for the Ministry of Education. A founding member of ARMuQ, she has contributed to the popularization of musicology and history for a wide and varied public. She has written several articles, in particular for Aria, Les Cahiers de l'ARMuQ and Forces. She also contributed to EMC.
