National Park

National Park Reserve

An area designated to become a national park, but whose final boundaries and other terms will only be finalized upon the resolution of an unresolved land claim.

Parks Canada

The federal government agency that administers Canada’s national parks system. It began in 1911 as the Dominion Parks Branch, the world’s first national parks service. It became its own agency in 1998.
