Marie-Mai
Marie-Mai Bouchard, singer-songwriter, performer (born 7 July 1984 in Varennes, QC). With a musical mix of rock, electro and pop, coupled with a richly authentic voice and a versatile stage presence radiating energy and passion, Marie-Mai has captured a large audience. Winner of numerous Félix Awards, including several for Female Performer and Album of the Year, she has had three gold albums and two platinum albums in Canada, and has performed on some of the most important stages in the francophone world. She has also been recognized at the national level, winning SOCAN Awards for Most Performed Francophone Song in Québec and Songwriter of the Year.

Marie-Marguerite d'Youville
Marie-Marguerite d'Youville, née Dufrost de Lajemmerais (born 15 October 1701 in Varennes, Quebec; died 23 December 1771 in Montreal). D'Youville was the founder of the Sisters of Charity of the Hôpital Général de Montréal, also known as the Grey Nuns. She was the first Canadian-born saint, canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1990.

Marie-Philip Poulin
Marie-Philip Poulin, hockey player (born 28 March 1991 in Québec City, Québec). Poulin is a three-time Olympian who holds the unique distinction of scoring the gold medal-winning goals for Canada at both the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. She was also captain of the team that won silver at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang. The forward has also won a world championship and two Clarkson Cup titles in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League championships. The recipient of numerous honours and awards, Poulin is considered one of the world’s top players and has been compared to fellow Canadian Sidney Crosby.

Marie Wilson
Marie Wilson, CM, ONT, journalist, professor, administrator (born in Petrolia, ON). Marie Wilson had a long and successful career as a journalist in Canada’s North. She created the North’s first daily television news service in 1995 and served as CBC North’s regional director. She later advised the South African Broadcasting Corporation on how to cover South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission. In 2009, she became the lone non-Indigenous commissioner on Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC). Wilson has advocated for northern and Indigenous cultures and rights and is married to former Northwest Territories premier Stephen Kakfwi. She has served on the board of directors of CBC/Radio-Canada since 2017.
