Gordon Webb served with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a bomber pilot in the Second World War. He flew in 72 missions over the enemy territory, including the raid against the German city of Nuremberg, 30-31 March 1944. Mr. Hugh Murray enlisted in July 1943 in the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve and served aboard the cruiser HMCS Uganda, the only Canadian warship that saw action in the Pacific.
